I just finished up a Bible study entitled, "Me, Myself, and Lies" written by Jennifer Rothschild.
It was just a six week study (I'm sorta used to the 12 week study's with Beth Moore) and it was jam packed full of information that is essential to me being a better child of God.
I was going through and writing down some of the wonderful insights in my journal.
I thought I would share some with you...
I think one of my favorite quotes from her DVD series is,
"Guess what folks. We're not in the garden anymore. Life is tough."
That just about sums it up!
Blessings to you and yours.
I love it!! I also love the randomness of your notes and how your thoughts are seperated in bubbles!! This would drive my husband insane, but it's just how I think and write!!
BTW, my hubby and I were discussing the fact that there are no bakeries in the area where I live. Actually, the nearest bakery is about 15 miles away. We had the idea of opening a bakery right next to a coffee shop that our church is working on opening up! I told him that I would need to convince you to move to AZ first.

I love Beth Moore. I need to get into more of her studies. Thanks for sharing. Your printing is so nice! you are even artsy in your note taking. Cute.

Yup, pretty much sums it up!
After my second study I think I'm partial to Beth Moore too, she's awesome!

I liked the "small pebble" analogy. A woman in my church shared a few weeks ago about the movie "Ever After". There's a scene in the movie where the stepmother says to Danielle (Cinderella), "You're a pebble in my shoe!" So, she went and put a pebble in her shoe and walked around with it for half a day. She couldn't tolerate much more than that. I thought she was really brave to do that.

Wow! Thank you for sharing that Liesl... what a brave woman!
Hope you are well!

Thanks for sharing. I followed the link and looked at the free first week download. Looks like a great study.... a great topic. Love how you took your notes. :)
So... we tried making sugar cookies yesterday using your recipes. :) You make it look beautiful and easy. LOL. Our result was anything but that. Ha. We had a great time though. I took some pictures and when I get over my cold/flu bug, I'll post some on my blog.
Oh, and a funny thing about the cookies. I had our babysitter make the dough while I was out... she made the recipe and omitted the SUGAR!!!! She figured it out and added it after the fact.... made it taste sort of like pie crust with sugar topping. Kind of funny - sugar cookies made without sugar. :)
Blessings to you,
Kari

Amanda
Thanks for sharing this. I love the journal...looks like you did learn a lot of good information. My hubby Dominic and I are starting a "Love and Respect" series today with some other couples from church. I am excited to be back in something like this again!
Have a wonderful Sunday - we are off to church! :)

I think that can be arranged! The neighbors on our left are horrible renters and I have a feeling they'll be out by the time their lease is up!!! :)

I did this study in the summer. I enjoyed it as well. It is really full of good stuff. I don't know if I soaked it all in. Like any of her studies they are good to do multiple times I think!

I've been wanting to do this study. I saw Bethany's post on it earlier this year and loved the idea of it.
That is a very thought provoking quote. Not being in the garden doesn't make us less of God's children, just dirtier and in dire need of a bath.

Ok, this is TOTALLY about your LAST post :o) I was very impressed with the cookies/cakes/combos. Very fun! Anyway, I haven't been online in TOO long, again. Always fun to catch up.

Love it Amanda! I have started to do this on a white board my kitchen. Helps me keep focused on what the priority is.
You know what....I also thought about taking a picture and blogging about it...like in a series of what I write over time.
Are we like so alike?!
Hope you have a great week!

Life IS tough. I think accepting that fact is the only way to embrace it and move on with it. Besides my garden is full of poison ivy and critters anyway!

My two favorite notes?
"Who you are and what you struggle with are not the same thing."
"LORD! Please help me to trust You more than my feelings."
These are thoughts worth holding on to!!!
