I have used this substituion a lot. Actually I used it this week. I thought I had enough cake flour but alas, I did not. So I just used the AP flour w/cornstarch recipe. The cakes turn out perfect. No difference.

Aunt Inga rocks!! Thanks for the tips ;D

Paula

How you managed to pull this off without bursting out laughing is beyond me. Where you come up with these ideas I don't know and don't much care, just keep doing it. Perhaps when Aunt Inga gets that banana clip all settled in her hairdo then she will be able to provide us with some more of her wonderful baking tips.

Nic@diningwithastud

LOL great tip. Bless Aunt Inga haha

Lynae Johnson

This is AWESOME! I vote that Aunt Inga is from MN/ND. (If I win can I get on the list to preorder your cookbook?! :)

Marm

Loved Aunt Inga. More please.

Heather

Hysterical! Watched it twice.

Veronica Miller

OMgoats, I could never pull that off, I would have been laughing the whole time. Great job! Toooo funny.

sue

how great is that? Now I don't need to have two containers of flour.

Dawn Legier

Way too funny - it even made my dog bark! The "recipe" I use for homemade cake flour is from Rose Levy Berenbaum, but it requires a little math and works best with weight versus volume: 85% all-purpose flour and 15% cornstarch (e.g., if you needed 1000g of cake flour you would use 850g AP and 150g cornstarch). Even in delicate white cake it works beautifully.

TidyMom

I always listen to Aunt Inga! lol she is hilarious!! thanks for the tip too......Aunt Inga shared it with me a few months ago and saved me a trip to the store!!

Jenn in Tenn

OMG!! I Looooooooove Aunt Inga!!
