Renee

Those look so good! I love peppermint patties :) BTW, did you pick out a baby name yet?

Shaina

These look absolutely gorgeous. I've been lusting over everyone's homemade peppermint patties for months now. I think you've pushed me into trying them finally.

MIss @ Miss in the Kitchen

You are such a sweetie, giving all of those cookies away! I love peppermint patties, and what a clever idea to make them a different color, love it!

courtney

Does anyone know how these would freeze?

Sue

I love that blue~so pretty!

Aikko

These look great Amanda! I can't wait to try it! :) Have to make my own peppermint extract first though, we don't have the regular ones here :)

Wenderly

Paula

Love peppermint patties and like you, didn't know I could make my own. Off to visit Alice. Like that you tried them in stick form too and your bridal party favours are great.

Heather

I just discovered her blog last night! I tried her classic buttercream frosting....wowza! It's some serious good stuff! I couldn't believe how smooth it turned out! Between your blog and Alice's blog I'm doing some serious baking! I made your sugar cookies for my sister-in-law's bday this weekend and my husband said he thought that batch was by far the best he's ever tasted! Even my brother-n-law who hates sweets ate two of these cookies! He couldn't believe how good they were...that blew my mind because he rarely will ever eat any kind of dessert! I baked up 2 dz for my daughter's bday party in a few weeks because these freeze fabulously! Thanks for all your wonderful blogging! P.S. I'm making your delish chocolate cake for my daughter's bday! It is so yummy!

SweetSugarBelle

How fun! And the blue ones are gorgeous!

Amber | Bluebonnets & Brownies

Jaclyn

Lisa (With Style and Grace)

I need to make these for my mom, she loves peppermint patties! I bet they'd be good frozen too = chocolate fix without eating the entire batch ;) Woo hoo, so excited for you on the arrival of your baby boy! Countdown?

Gayatri Kumar

naomi

tammy

Those look sooooo YUMMY!!!! I will be making them for sure!!

susan

You are so creative, my dear! A year or two ago, I made peppermint patties and you are so right, they are addicting. You eat one, and then the taste resonates on your palette and then you need another, and another, and another! Mmmm! I think making these for a "Tuesday" is the best occassion of all to create these little gems!

Darlynne

Your giveaway is such a great idea and has inspired me, too, to do something more. I'm not entering your contest, but will use this gentle nudge to do the same for my friends, neighbors and family. Everyone is struggling today; maybe I can add a smile. Thank you!

marla {family fresh cooking}

Awwww, Amanda I am so tickled by those blue peppermint patties. These are the perfect gifty treats for so many occasions. You could have so much fun personalizing the color, writing & decorations. xxoo

Kristen

These look like they would melt in your mouth - deliciousness!

Lexi

I've had it on my mind to make peppermint patties for a couple of years, now I just have to get up and actually make them. Yours are gorgeous (I love the blue ones).

Shannon

Stephanie

I LOVE peppermint patties! Going over to get the recipe ASAP. Thanks for sharing Amanda!

Kate

Oh my goodness! I love peppermint patties. I will definitely be trying these. Thanks for sharing (:

Tracy

Gorgeous patties! I love making these at home...they're so much better than store-bought!

Jae

I have attempted these before, but made the HORRIBLE mistake of using mint extract instead of peppermint and ew. toothpaste patties! I will try with this recipe. They are beautiful btw~

Sylvie @ Gourmande in the Kitchen

Cute! I like the "i do" and the "so do i". I wish I had these for favors when I got married.

Robyn | Add a Pinch

Absolutely gorgeous. Can I have one please?

My favorite candy is peppermint patties as well. There is hardly a grocery store run where one doesn't get snatched up at the checkout. I try to hide the wrappers in the car but my kids always find them and smirk at me. I've never tried anything like this but thats what all of this blogging is making me do! Try new things!

A baby boy! Wonderful. I had one of those and now he is 14! Good luck for the next couple of weeks while you are waiting.

shari

Just yesterday I said to my Hubby.............Boy I would love some peppermint patties. And voila, today your post!
Next craving ...............out comes the icing sugar! Thanks

Breville

Oh my, sweet treats! :)

Kari

Love your blog and love to see others thinking about others. I am thinking of my mom who does so much for our family and is now in FL taking care of her Mother in Law for 2 weeks.

Kathy - Panini Happy

I love your personalizations! Peppermint patties are the one candy I'll occasionally indulge in at the checkout aisle. They're part breath mint anyway, right? :-)

Patti

Love peppermint patties (yeah, my name might have something to do with that LOL...my nickname is Mint). I make them about twice a year, at Christmas and on hubby's birthday (because he loves Mint Patti(es) too ;). This is different from the recipe I have (mine has butter, evap. milk and uses Lorann peppermint oil)...might have to give these a try next time. Perhaps for my daughters bridal shower! :) Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Amy Hinish

These look great! This is my hubby's favorite candy so I am looking forward to making these while he is working one day!

A tablespoon of Liz

These look so adorable and delicious. I love the fact that you colored them blue!

Barbara

What fun....especially the blue ones. So cute to say I DO TOO! :)
I am not entering your contest for fear I would win and screw up my diet!

Helen

Hi, just want to let you know that I found another recipe that doesn't call for as much sugar but it probably won't be any good for those with coconut allergies.

Jen @ My Kitchen Addiction

Oh, these look incredible! I definitely have to make them ASAP. Having a dinner party for my hubby's 30th birthday next weekend, and I'm thinking they'd be lovely on the table. :)

McKenzie

Beautiful! The blue looks soooo yum!

grace

'i do', 'me too', 'me three', 'ditto'--you could have so much fun with these! plus, you know, they're tasty. :)

sini

These looks so delicious, I needed to try. I don't know where it went wrong but the sugar part, there wasn't ever enough sugar and didn't came out like modeling clay - never :P How much is the one can of condensed milk? :) I think I might have had too big can.
