I absolutely adore how sprinkles look on cakes and cupcakes, but have had the WORST time trying to find some that actually taste good!
Lucky you, I slaved away in my kitchen until I found the perfect solution.
Make your own!
(I have seen this done many times before, but I found a way to make it easier and something that anyone can do!)
Rainbow colors of course.
Then, throw them onto a cake and wow everyone with the amazing taste and texture!
I have a pretty bad case of Spring Fever, so this cake was just the burst of color I needed to brighten my day!
Would you like to make your own Homemade Sprinkles?? I am sharing how over at KitchenDaily!
Would you like to know how to make this fun and BRIGHT Rainbow Sprinkle Cake? (Including a recipe for a fantastic Banana Nut Cake with the worlds best Cream Cheese Frosting!)
Its all on KitchenDaily today. Be sure to stop by and let me know what you think!! I am so honored to be working with the amazing and talented folks from AOL's Kitchen Daily Team!!

Beauttiful! as always! so clever and pretty! x

This is amazing. Would they work well INSIDE a cake? I get orders for confetti cupcakes all the time and this would be so much cheaper then always buying sprinkles!

Tasty!
I like the spaces of white with the pops of color.
And I DO want to know how to make my own sprinkles.
The ones I find always taste stale. Yuck,
I think I'll try this whole thing in cupcake form, test your recipe for that.
Perhaps it will quell my own spring fever.
Thanks for sharing!

Can these sprinkles be stored? If so for how long? I would like to make this and prepare the sprinkles ahead of time.
Posted by: Mirjana | Mar 04, 2011 at 09:15 AM
there are far too few god-made rainbows for my tastes, so i'm all for a woman-made one now and then. :)
Posted by: grace | Mar 04, 2011 at 04:49 PM
so pretty! Great idea. I've tried making long lines and breaking them up, my kids think they are fun. Yours look beautiful!
Loved seeing you on your frosting video, 9 months? Hmmm....I forgot when you are due, I know a few people due in a couple weeks :) exciting. Did you decide on a name yet?
You look amazing and a natural in front of the camera. If that is you nervous, you pull it off well. I turn beet red :)

I love all of your ideas! You're so creative!! And I'm a sucker for rainbows so I think I will be trying this out for sure!
Also, I was wondering what kind of camera you have, you take such beautiful, clear pictures. I'm a pastry student and I do cakes on the side. I would looove to know your thoughts on any good cameras. The camera I have is so outdated and takes horrible pictures. If you could let me know I'd really appreciate it, keep up the great work, thanks!
