One of the winners of the free dozen cookies requested some Chinese New Year cookies.
She sent me a picture of an idea she had and I thought it was adorable!
The Chinese New Year officially begins on Feb. 3rd and this is the year of the Rabbit.
I just love that little hat and queue! (Chinese ponytail)
I must tell you... I have never wanted a KopyKat so badly as I did with this. Piping out each bunny by hand and trying to get them to look like each other was giving me brain aneurysms.
And hand cramps.
But as I always say, it was all worth it in the end.
Happy Chinese New Year!!

And just so you know, I am almost posting a tutorial on the Rose Cake on Friday! (or tomorrow if we can get homeschooling done in a timely fashion!) I dont usually post three times in one week, but I couldnt help but share these with you on an appropriate date. (as in, not late!)
Thank you all so much for your kind birthday wishes!
These are fab!!! You have a really steady hand. I would have gotten frustrated and just put all one color on. lol I cannot wait for the rose tut! I am thinking of using that design for my DD's 3 yr birthday cupcakes the 12th. You are amazing! :)

After the baking has been done and it's time to sit down and decorate cookies, how long does it take you to decorate a dozen cookies with a medium amount of decoration?
I am amazed at your ability to do such intricate art work on cookies.

First of all, buy a kk. You deserve it. I'll send u discount codes. Second of all, with four kiddos u will need the extra time. Just because can doesn't mean you should. Happy birthday to you, hope you get a kk. It will give you more time with the fam. Ps, I'm amazed more and more each day with what you'd with glaze.

It's amazing to me that you didn't use a kopy-kat projector because they all look as perfect as the next. I applaude you for using your God given gift of hand/eye coordination and your own artistic ability. You are a cookie master in my book! I bow down to you.
