That is like the coolest cake ever!! You are going to do a tutorial on it, right?? I already follow you on twitter, and I hope you don't mind, but I am going to share this. Just awesome! :)

Yvonne

We're our own harshest critics, aren't we? I hope the tremendous amount of feedback lets you know that your cake is awesome, despite your perception of its "flaws".

I didn't even realize you were on Twitter! I'm going to start following you right now. =)

Mary Dunbar

that's so cute how did you do it?

Amy

OH MY!!!!!!!!! I can't stand the cuteness! WOW! I was so surprised to see that chick in there, even though REALLY I shouldn't have been :-) I should and DO always expect something incredible here! I was distracted by the awesome designs on the outside and momentarily forgot to expect a surprise inside!

I hope I win, but I might almost prefer the cookies :-)

Ok, I am going to check out some of the other blogs! Thanks for doing this!

Home Baked

Your Easter cake is so beautiful! I've been admiring it on flickr this morning. My 10 year old agrees!

I love that you're giving away cash!

Nina McMillan

soooo cute & creative!

Shanda Hentschel

Oh my gosh. We need a tutorial on how to get the Easter chick in the cake. Please?!? I'm always game for cold hard cash too. I will be following you on Twitter momentarily.

Paula

You are killing me here with your creativity! I can imagine the squeals of delight from your kids when they realized the cutest little chick was nestled inside the egg. How delightfully wonderful. You are not "i am baker" you are "i am super creatively talented baker" (but I know you are also too modest to change your blog title) This post set the happy tone for my day!

Mama23Bears

LOVE this cake! you inspire me to bake more!!!

Kim

Wow! Soooo cute!

Mama23Bears

Kiki

Oh my gosh! That is beyond amazing! I am scratching my head in wonder... "How did she DO that?!" Beautiful! Now I'm off to go look for your other cakes with surprise insides! (Found your blog this morning through Skip To My Lou.)

Debbie Pearson

So totally cute! I can imagine your kids were very happily surprised to see that chick hanging out inside the egg. I don't know how you did that, but I am amazed by your talent!

taralee

LOVE it! The chick on the inside is so SUPER cute!

Amalia Standard

OH MY GOODNESS.... I was ooohing and ahhhhing over the shape of the cake and the beautiful decorations and then... I saw the INSIDE! AMAZING! What lucky kids you have!!! I want to make a bunny cake this week...but am not loving any of my white layer cake recipes. I really want to find one that bakes up high and doesn't fall... any suggestions????

Karen@SurvivingMotherhood

Amanda, you will never cease to amaze me. A chick inside an egg. How adorable!
BTW, if you decide to do the April Fool's 'cake' are you going to post a picture of it here???

Emily

Very cute! My first attempt at decorating a cake was an easter egg shaped cake. It is forever known now as "floor cake" in my house because I was trying to keep my brother from licking the frosting and it ended up being a bet on whether I throw it at him so I did and it landed on the floor.

Your cake is a thousand times better than mine and I am amazed how you figured out how to put the chick in the middle. So creative!
