Yum! Another one I will have to try. My tastebuds thank you, my waistline however...not so happy! :-) Crushed peppermint stick at Christmas.

Love, love, love the cupcake stands! I have been visiting Goodwill lately too! Need to keep my eye open for 2 seperate pieces. Thanks for sharing!
The cupcakes look yummy as always. I hope you will link up to Cupcake Tuesday this week!

Oh YUM! All my favorites...from Heath Chips on frosted chocolate cake to new cupcake stands! You're definitely #1 in my book, too, Amanda! :) I need to try these, but the Jillian in my head is saying "no"! We'll see who wins!

Where did you get those peanutbutter chocolate chips? I have never seen them before. Looks yummmy!

Mama M.

Oh, wow. Um...did you know that I'm a cupcake junkie? That cupcakes are, like, my favorite treat? Forget Kate, will you be my new best friend?! ;)

Love the cupcakes. Love super thrift store finds. Love love love. :-)

Amalia Standard

Ohhhhh almond vanilla frosting sounds yummy...what's your recipe? I LOVE the cake stands!!!! I am a sucker for cake stands and plates and especially love old antique platters and cake stands!!! Can't wait to try the cupcake recipe

Joy Ellis

Love them!!

OK, that's it! It's official. Regardless of what Tastespotting says, your presence is requested next Sunday, March 7th at our First Annual Bluegrass and Chocolate Festival. (It's a mere 3.5 hours from the Cities...) We MUST have that square serving dish, all the marvelous cupcake creations (I chickened out on doing petit fours!) and your lovely self. Let me know & I'll send you the details. You DO love Gospel/Bluegrass music, right? You're a homeschooling family so I assume all of your children are already accomplished on at least 2 instruments. What?!? Audrey hasn't even STARTED?!? Gasp. (Can you tell I didn't get enough sleep last night?)

Your amazingness astounds me.

Those are cute little cupcake stands! And the cupcakes look yummy too of course!
Happy birthday to your hubby! There is a girl at church whose birthday is the 29th, I always wondered if it was hard/odd not to have a "real" birthdate each year!!
Have a great week.

Cop Mama

I love how you turned that thrift store find into a contemporary little cupcake stand! So cool!

Ok, I'm all about the Heath toppings, are you kidding me!!!

gorgeous as usual! and i love the new cake stand ideas. what size frosting tip did you use to get the "dollop" of frosting look? it's cute!

Those look really good! I haven't baked cupcakes in so long!

Those cupcakes are AMAZING! And the photography is FANTASTIC. I had never heard of Tastespotting until you mentioned it, but now that I've seen their site... you're stuff absolutely belongs on there.

But all that aside...

I totally have a new artistic food activity for us. You have to come check it out. www.mommytopics.com .... Watch the VIDEO in my sidebar! We could so do that! ... I think...?

1. BEAUTIFUL cupcakes!! They look perfect.
2. LOVELY, PERFECT photos!!
3. Great idea to spray paint the cupcake stands!! I go to the thrift store for blog dishes as well.

You have got to give us the recipe for the "rich almond vanilla frosting". These cupcakes look amazing!

but of course the heath chips won--those little nuggets are amazing! and so are you--from refurbishing cake stands to baking up a storm, you're a champ. :)

Your cupcakes are gorgeous! :)

bridget {bake at 350}

"There is Always Room For Cupcakes." This is a motto I can live by! That frosting sounds fabulous!!!

I went to the thrift store for some food props this weekend, too! ;) Made it out with 2 pieces and a book for my nephew from under 3 bucks! Love that!

Love these! And I love your cupcake stand too. :-) (Also, don't listen to Tastespotting - your pictures are always gorgeous!)

Delicious, but what I'd really like to do right now is to go to your thrift store! xo

my guy is a leap year boy too, 7 1/2 this year lol. He wanted chocolate too. I made him a chocolate torte. 1lb bittersweet chocolate, 1lb unsalted butter, 1 cup strong coffee - melted in a double boiler. 8 eggs, 1 cup of sugar wisked together. When the chocolate, butter, and coffee are melted and cooled combine with eggs and sugar. bake in a greased springform pan for an hour at 350. Covered it in strawberries and powdered sugar.

also LOVE the cupcake stands

Carolyn Jung

I'd leap over anything for those cupcakes and that classy, creative glass cupcake stand. ;)

Can you please post the recipe for both the vanilla almond and the mint frosting? I NEED them! :o)

Diane {createdbydiane.blogspot.com}

Happy Birthday to your hubby :)
I love the cupcakes, they look amazing!
at first I was thinking what are "health chips" I guess I read it real fast and added letters LOL HEATH chips I would love. I make toffee and love when there are "crumbs" to top off things with. Your look so delicious!

Those look so amazing!!
Way awesome thrift store finds...so creative!

Wow! Those are great...I'm not sure which I like best--the cupcakes or the thrift store finds! Please don't stop telling us about the thrift store treasure. ;o)

I adore that stand!

I love the cupcake stands! They're so easy to make... my (former) roommate just got married and we made a whole bunch of them for the cupcakes at her wedding!! They're such an antique looking fun display.

My personal favorite was a teacup with a delicate plate on top of it =o)

Can you give me the vannilla forsting recipe? how do you make frosting?

What fabulous thrift store finds! You have a great eye. Your little cupcakes look so sweet sitting on top of your purchases. And I love the white delightful spoonful of frosting on top!

Paige Galla

Does it get any cuter? I love your spray paint job! You scored at the thrift store! Thanks for the adorable inspiration!

I agree with the other posters. Almond vanilla frosting recipe please! :)

Hey:) Love your thrift store finds! Just wanted to let you know I started a new blog-a food blog;) I would love to have you come by some time and check it out:) I made your heart cake and posted it on my family blog-now more than ever blog. Anywhoo I'll stop rambling on, also I want to add your blog to my blog list but cant get the link to work??

I love finding new chocolate cupcake recipes!!! Thank you, now for your frosting recipe?????

love everything - the cupcakes, the stands, the PB and chocolate chips...!! I don't know how i missed this post. Your new posts on iambaker are not showing up in my reader for some time now.

I'd be 500 pounds if I lived with you!

I just made these and they look perfect. I substituted your delicious-sounding, but MIA, almond vanilla buttercream for my famous orange buttercream. It went perfectly with the chocolate. I also used a 199 tip to make them even more pleasing to the eye. Brilliant... seriously the best chocolate cupcake I've ever made!!

Love the idea for our re-purposed cupcake pedestal!

Hi dear :)

I love the look of your frosting, is it possible if you could email me the recipe, or post the recipe online? Iive been looking for a thick frosting recipe like that! TIA!

any way to get the vanilla almond recipe? looks totally delicious!
