I made these cookies for an 'interview' I have tomorrow.
They dont really care that I bake, but the idea of showing up and having no gift is inconceivable.
"I do not-a think it means what you-a think it means." Name that movie.
But I would love for you to come to my 'interview'. Because really, its about you too.
On Wednesday, Jan. 27th (tomorrow) sometime between 3:00 and 3:45 I am going to have a little chat with these guys.
The adorable hosts from channel five's Twin Cities Live.
We are going to be talking about all things blogging.
Do you have a blog? Do you like to blog? Do you like watching people sweat profusely and make fools of themselves on television? Then you just might want to watch.
Of course, if you cant, I will post a link as soon as it becomes available!
**************************
I had so much fun!! And I think they liked their cookies.
Here is the link!
Woo Hoo! So cool! I can't wait to see it. Our own celebrity blogger! You'll do great!
Those cookies are amazing!

Amanda... you. are. so. cool! I love that you are a famous TV personality now. When you get your own Martha Stewart type show I will surely be in the audience. Congrats on your previous TV stint and I know you'll be hilarious, witty and cute on your interview. How could you not?
Posted by: Katie | Jan 26, 2010 at 03:08 PM
Fun!! Best of luck to you!!!
It's "inconcievable" to think that you won't do an excellent job :)
Another favorite from Princess Bride...
"No more rhyming, and I mean it."
"Anybody want a peanut?"

I can definitely see bringing gifts to that kind of interview. Have fun!
Oh, and also, your cookies look great as always. Does the icing you use dry hard, and if so, how long does it take? (Is it a good substitute for royal icing?) I am doing decorated sugar cookies this week, but they have to go in individual cellophane bags and then on an airplane without getting messed up... Thanks!!
Posted by: jami | Jan 26, 2010 at 04:16 PM
:) Have fun girl! The cookies look yummy.
Posted by: bp | Jan 26, 2010 at 04:38 PM
Good luck! Those cookies look delish. I don't have that channel so I'll be waiting for the link.
Posted by: Alex | Jan 26, 2010 at 04:59 PM
Ummm, I think if I could make cookies as pretty as your cookies, I'd be making them for everyone I cam in contact with. I should take a picture of how my sugar cookies turn out (it's like they melt, spread out, and become blobs/unrecognizable shapes) cause they need some Amanda help, that's for sure!
I set my DVR to record, it'll be so fun seeing someone I "know"/follow in real life!
Posted by: Mandi | Jan 26, 2010 at 05:00 PM
Awesome - is that channel 11? Will set the dvr so I don't forget!! :)
Can't wait to see you again! :)(even if it's through the TV)!

You are like, officially the cool kid in school, FYI.
The cool kid who MAKES AWESOME COOKIES and shares them, which is way cooler than the cool kids were at any school I went to.

Have fun, Amanda. I'll be watching.
By the way, I spent many of my years (and poured out a lot of blood) in TV newsrooms. Food is ALWAYS appreciated and treats are even better.
