I recently took a day trip to Kansas City to see the amazing Helene Dujardin.
This was the calm above the storm. It was drizzly and dreary under those clouds.
She was offering a photography class and I happened to be in need of one. She recently put out a book called Plate to Pixel. Its beautiful. And full of awesome information!
She offered up amazing tips and insights and I was so, so happy I went.
Helene asked us to bring some food to set up for mini photoshoots. This little setup was done by the gorgeous Bree from bakedbree.com.
I didnt bring any food on the plane with me. So I just walked around and took pictures of other peoples stuff. Ya know, the people that actually followed directions.
Then I would eat some too. ;)
It was a great day! I had so much fun.
It was wonderful to see a professional in action... I just hope she rubbed off on me a little!
Thanks Helene!
And thank you to all the beautiful and funny and charming ladies who also attended!
I'm so glad you went. I hated not being there so much!!!

Glad you were able to go and meet with and learn from Helene in person. Her book is actually on my Christmas list, in fact there's nothing on my Christmas list right now but books!

I can't wait to see what you do with your new talent. I'm amazed you still find time to do school...or sleep. Wowsers, girl!

My son sent me a new wonderful camera and I am attempting to take it off auto smart setting. I read an article that said people are afraid that the camera is smarter than they are so they leave it on auto. The sad truth is - MY CAMERA IS SMARTER THAN I AM. Sigh.
