I am still so completely blown away by the response to giving away cookies for a stranger... I have cried tears of gratitude and thankfulness for you all!
Sorry the update took so long... unfortunately organization is not something I am good at and it has taken me a good four days to get everything figured out.
Here is where we stand!
I have matched up every single nominee with a volunteer! However, three nominees had invalid email address, so the request for further information was returned to me. If you happen to be someone who signed up to have cookies sent to a freind/loved one but never received any notification, please contact me!

Now here is something that is still just bouncing off the empty spaces in my brain... I still have over FIFTY volunteers that I had no one to match with. Over 50 people!! SO many of you volunteered to help that I had to establish a waiting list!! Is that AMAZING or what?
To you very special and giving and thoughtful people whom I wanst able to match, I am so sorry! I am just blown away by your generosity and feel terrible that I don't have any more nominee's to share!
THANK YOU, from the top and bottom of my heart, for offering to do something so selfless. I cannot express to you enough what an impact you have made on me and so many! (I am still getting emails of people wanting to help, who have been so touched by the immediate outpouring of love!)
If you want to see who those amazing people are, the comments and links to blogs are listed here!
I also want to say and extra big and special thank you to Jen, a very sweet contact person for Demarle at Home. They donated TWENTY DOZEN cookies!! Seriously... (sorry to be saying this over and over again) but I am just BLOWN away by that!!
This whole experience has been humbling and exhausting and more rewarding then I could ever have imagined. And we aren't done yet!
If anyone wants to share their experience I would love to hear about it. If you decide to blog/facebook/ tweet about it be sure to send a link!
I have a feeling the residual effects of this will be touching lives for a long, long time! I am so honored that you rock stars let me be a small part of it!
GOD BLESS!
Amanda, this is such a successful and thoughtful baking event you have put together. This will touch so many lives in the most positive ways :) You are awesome as are all these great folks. xxoo

You are right, pretty amazing! I hope the people who wanted to donate but couldn't will consider donating to some one in their community or someone they hear about on a blog or something. Just love this whole thing!

hi Amanda,
When i first read your post about the cookie idea i wanted to nominate myself (for personal reasons), my sister who recently had a baby that i have not met yet, and my mom who has been feeling under the weather lately. We live in three different states and cannot visit as much as we would love to. But after reading the comments left I didn't feel like we deserved cookies. But seeing that there are more volunteers who were not matched up, do you think they might be willing to make some for us?
thanks you

This is awesome. You and the volunteers are just awesome. :)

YOU are awesome Amanda. It was such a privilege to be a part of this amazing cause you created. Wishing you a happy and healthy delivery. Your new baby has a momma who has made a big difference in the world. Thanks for all you do!

Oh, my word! I am posting tomorrow about this. Encouraging others to go out and do something nice for someone to show them some love. All this before I even read your blog! Oh, man! Now I totally look like a copy cat!
Sorry!

I hope you'll keep me on that waiting list if you get any more requests. You're an amazing person :)

Amanda, you are quite amazing and inspirational! Your generosity is your gift as well. You've stirred me into carrying this torch you have lit. I'm "Passing it on"! I will post on my FB page the same request you made of your readers, but don't worry, I'll be making the cookies to help brighten up someone's day. Don't be surprised if you see a surge of hits on your blogsite this weekend! I made a link to your original posting=)

My family was one of the recipients of the cookie gifts.
I do not have words to describe my daughter's face when she opened the box: there were polka dots - pink and yellow chicks perfectly individually wrap with matching bows.
Thanks for making her day extra special, we are humble by your wonderful idea.
God bless you!
