SO cute!!! But, please oh please....where did you find the red cherry chocolate chips to make these bowls? I have never even heard of them!!

Cooking Creation

These turned out beautifully. I have never heard of cherry chocolate chips before!!!!

Karriann Graf

These bowls look darling! Cherry Chocolate Chips definitely sound delicious! Happy Baking!

Cookbook Queen

Love these!! I've eved those bowls on Bakerella more than once but still haven't attempted them!!

You are one of the most creative people I know. Such a cool dessert idea.

Cindy Shah

Oooh

Cindy Shah

Oooh, these are so cute!

Kristen

What a great idea - such a creative treat. My kids love the cherry dipped cones from DQ so I'm sure they'd love this!

Sylvie @ Gourmande in the Kitchen

Those little bowls are adorable, perfect for the 4th of July. I like any dessert that comes in it's own edible container!

bridget {bake at 350}

Wait? There's such a thing as a cherry dip cone at DQ? Looks like I know where I'm heading this afternoon!

And these are just plain adorable! What a brilliant idea!

A tablespoon of Liz

oh my goodness. I didn't even realize those bowls were edible when I saw the first photo. I was like, red white and blue, is she counting the bowl as the red? then I realized they were chocolate and I almost diet. I love these! you did such a good job!

Maria

Perfect dessert for the 4th!

sweetsugarbelle

PERFECT!!!

Aikko

You are not alone, I adore Bakerella too! :)

Karen

Oh my goodness, they look amazing and I'm so excited to make these for a treat day!!!

Katrina @ In Katrina's Kitchen

Yay! I'm in love!! I've seen the chocolate bowls around - but NOTHING as cute as this!! *mwah!*

Paula

Such a cute and colourful dessert. Love the bowls! Your tip for bursting the balloons is a great one.

Jamie | My Baking Addiction

How incredibly perfect for the 4th. Love these.

Mary C.

My daugther and I want to make these for a snack for a Keeper's of the Home group we are involved in, but have no idea where to find/buy the cherry chocolate chips!! Where did you find yours Amanda? Thanks :)

Amanda Rettke

I got the cherry chocolate chips at Walmart. This is what they look like...http://www.amazon.com/Log-House-Flavored-10-Ounce-Packages/dp/B000V9FX8OI think you can also order themdirectlyfrom the manufacturer! :)

Georgia Pellegrini

You're so clever. This looks like a very festive but also simple idea for the 4th... some of the other desserts out there are over my head!

Lynne @ 365 Days of baking

Great job, Amanda! And I love the fact that the dish doesn't have to be washed!! Less cleanup - Yippee!!!

Jen @ My Kitchen Addiction

These look great... yum!

Ellen Fitz

So cute! Like others, I had never heard of cherry chips so I just Googled "cherry baking chips" and I see there are lots of resources for them, including King Arthur Flour. The trick is to query on "baking" chips not "chocolate" chips. Thanks for another inspirational post.

Lucy Lean

Very patriotic!

Renee

that looks delicious!

Taylor Kee

this looks scrumptious!!! your pictures make this look way too good!!!!

Barbara

Cherry chocolate chips??? Now why don't I ever see anything like this in my market?
Such an adorable idea for 4th of July, too! I'm saving the link and hoping I will find those chips somewhere.....

Linda McDearis

Just an unrelated note to thank you for posting the recipes for the thin mint cake and your homemade fondant. I combined the two for a beautiful baby shower cake this weekend and it turned out fabulous! Thank you!

Esi

I think this is one I can make :)

Jenny

Lovely. And great tip about the tape. If I ever decide to try these again -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/nowwerecookiejenny/5716270707/in/photostream -- I am definitely using tape.

Amanda Rettke

Oh Jenny!!! I can soooo relate! And I cant help but chuckle ... I am finding red bits of chocolate all over... something new everyday! I hope the tip works for you... I have used it dozens of times and its never failed me. :)

Carsedra - Sweet Tooth Desserts

Saw these on twitter and had to come here so I can really post. These look very yummy and to think these are edible bowls. Awesome!! And I am totally with you on bakerella's site, like your site I can sit there for hours going through her site and looking at all the wonderful things you all make!! :-)

Marla@familyfreshcooking.com

Edible everything here?! Love this Amanda & how fun for parties any time of year. You can just mix up the colors to suit the season.

Eliana

Hmmm - delicious and perfect for the holiday weekend. Love these!

linda

totally awesome!

Chowbellaroma.wordpress.com

Wow I love those bowls - I didn't even know cherry chocolate chips were a thing!

susan

you mean I can eat this bowl? what a wonderful way to eat "green". no waste, no trash! this is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I may have to do this for the 4th, fill them ice cream and make a blueberry sauce? oh my - you have just added so much stuff to my already filled week of things to do. you seem to have this effect on me. xx

Josee

The way to prevent the bowl from cracking when removing the balloon, is to not pop it...use scissors and make a small cut, way up below the knot...the air will release slowly.

purabi naha

What a beautiful dessert! Your photos look just great and I am definitely intrigued! Loved your collection of recipes and everything about this blog. Do visit my curry blog at http://cosmopolitancurrymania.blogspot.com

I can't wait to wow my weekend guests with these! Thanks so much!

jes

These are a super-fun idea. What about people who live in hot climates? Should these primarily be served indoors? Or would they resist melting long enough not to be TOTALLY messy?

Nancy@acommunaltable

These are absolutely adorable!!! My mind is spinning with all the ideas I have using these - great tip about the tape, that is not something I would have thought of!!

Luisa

My friend told me to come check these out and they are awesome and fun :)

Sue

What a clever idea to use the cherry chocolate chips(I didn't even know there was such a thing:))! What a beautiful, tasty and fun dessert~to be able to eat the bowl! Have a fabulous 4th of July, Amanda!

Allison @ Alli 'n Son

Yes please! I love that it's no-bake, perfect for the hot holiday weekend ahead.

The plate is eatable as well right?
At first I was sure this is sushi, but this thing just looks excellent.
You keep teaching me new methods on how to cook, and it is just amazing, thank you very much for this.
