I recently dabbled in the Cake Pop arena. And let me tell you, I did not find it to be easy.
Much props to the makers of the pops. Ya'll make magic.
Anywho, when the fab ladies over at AOL's Kitchen Daily asked if I could make a fun dessert out of Peeps, this is what came to mind.
Peep Cake Pops. Peeps poppin' their deliciously sweet and sugary heads out of a cake pop egg.
Not exactly a revelation of majestic proportions, but fun nonetheless.
Head on over to Kitchen Daily if you want to see how I made them!
The end.
*snicker*
I LOVE THESE!!! So cute. How are you feeling?

These are really a cute Easter idea that kids will love. I *dabbled* with cake pops once several months ago. You are right. There's a lot of work to them and I haven't done them since. BIG props to those who create magic with them.

These are adorable. My 11 yr. old daughter wanted the Cake Pop cookbook, so I got it for her. We tried the cows, and I totally agree...they make it look so easy. We used orange cake & cream cheese frosting. They were delicious, but very tedious.
I hope all continues to go well with baby Eddie and the rest of your family.
Blessings...

I think that they are adorable darlin'. I haven't been brave enough to try cake pops yet.

AAAUUGGGHHH!!! You cut their heads off! :) I better not let Riley see me doing the cutting...
Seriously, as always cute, cute, cute!

You got that right. Bakerella makes it look so easy. I tried to make them and they were really hard to get looking smooth. They tasted fabulous, but they were not so pretty. Yours are adorable, of course! : D

Yes the little behindie sticking out gives me a chuckle. I agree, pops are hard but soooo darn cute. It's like giving birth...a pain when you are in it, but the outcome is so great you forget the complete headache of it all!!

Haha.. So cute! Didnt expect the tail at the back :D .. Very different cake pop than the ones Ive usually come across. Really cool.

they are not easy. I gave them a go this weekend and found it to be very difficult to make them pretty. They tasted yummy they just weren't presentable. ha

So cute!!! I love the vivid colors of the peeps!
Cake pops have me stumped lately! I made them a couple years ago with great success--like so well I helped 30 moms at church make them. We shaped them with cookie cutters and did multiple colors...Bakerella's May Day basket pops. They were so cute! Now...can't make a cake pop to save my life. Guess I'll just eat carrots. :/
Hope Baby Eddie is doing well!!!

I'm embarassed to admit, but I've just spent about 4 hours pouring over your blog. Amazing work. Beautiful and delectable looking creations. You've inspired me. I decorate cakes, but have been to scared to try some things. Now, as time allows, I'm going to try my hand at some of the things you've done.
God bless you and your family.
